Benchtop Replacement
Your old benchtop out, a new one made to measure in its place.
What A New Benchtop Can Do For Your Home
Whether you are renovating the whole kitchen or simply refreshing the space you have, a new benchtop is one of the highest-impact upgrades you can make.
Lifts The Whole Room
The benchtop is one of the first things anyone notices in a kitchen. A new surface in a current finish lifts the entire space without touching a single cabinet.
Adds Value To Your Home
Kitchens sell homes. A modern benchtop is one of the most cost-effective improvements you can make before going to market — or simply to enjoy every day.
Built For Real Life
Our engineered stone and porcelain surfaces are resistant to scratches, stains and heat, and our stone range is free from crystalline silica. Good to look at, and tough enough for a busy household.
A Healthier Choice
Our silica-free stone is made with a high recycled content and is safer for the people who fabricate and install it, as well as for your household.
What Benchtop Replacement Involves
Replacement means exactly that. Your old benchtop comes out, and a new one, cut to your measurements, goes in its place. Nothing is laid over the surface you already have.
The Process
- A designer visits, measures and brings samples to your home
- Your old benchtop is removed and taken away
- The cabinetry is checked and levelled before anything goes on
- Your new benchtop is fabricated to your measurements
- Installation, sealing of joins and a final clean
What You Get
- Thickness matched to your kitchen — 20mm and 40mm are the popular choices, and the profile can be built to whatever depth suits
- Splashback, kickboards and appliance openings stay where they are
- Undermount sinks, flush cooktops, mitred and waterfall edges all possible
- Breakfast bars extended or island shapes changed while the bench is off
- Existing engineered stone removed and disposed of as part of the job
Most benchtop replacements are finished in under a week from the day we start on site.

Choose Your Surface
These are the two ranges we install most often — one engineered stone, one porcelain. Both are cut to measure, installed by our own team, and backed by a ten-year manufacturer's warranty.
Quantum Zero
Developed using advanced surface technology, Quantum Zero is free from crystalline silica — a safer choice for kitchens, splashbacks and laundries. Made with up to 90% recycled glass content, without compromising on the finish.
- Free from crystalline silica
- Up to 90% recycled glass content
- Scratch, stain and heat resistant
- 20mm and 40mm the popular choices, profile built to suit
- Ten-year manufacturer's warranty
Quantum Porcelain
A large-format porcelain surface with the look of natural marble and considerably more resilience. UV stable and non-combustible, which makes it the sensible choice for alfresco kitchens and any bench that catches direct sun.
- UV stable and non-combustible
- Suits outdoor kitchens and alfresco areas
- Scratch, stain and heat resistant
- Bookmatched sheets available for continuous veining
- Ten-year manufacturer's warranty
Looking for something else? We work with a wide range of benchtop materials beyond these two, and we are adding to the range regularly — though surfaces outside our own ranges may not carry a manufacturer's warranty. Absolutely loving the refreshed kitchen bench top. Thanks must go to Thomas for doing such outstanding work and leaving the kitchen nice and clean once the job was done. From start to finish the process was quick and efficient.

My kitchen has been totally transformed, and I could not be happier. What a difference changing the bench tops can make. Thank you to all the team that assisted along the way but special thanks to Alex and Sean, who did all the work — absolutely amazing.

I had a stone replacement done in my old dated kitchen and it has made it look so sleek and modern. The installer was meticulous and cleaned up after himself. The cupboards even look lighter, which was an added bonus. Very happy customer.

Our decision to update the bench top has totally transformed the kitchen. The installers Thomas and Andre were fantastic as was the plumber and electrician — very professional outfit and well coordinated. What a great experience from start to finish, could not fault. Will definitely highly recommend.

Benchtop Replacement FAQ
Answers to the questions we hear most from homeowners considering a new benchtop.
What is the difference between benchtop resurfacing and benchtop replacement?
Resurfacing means bonding a thin stone surface over the top of your existing benchtop, with the old bench left in place underneath. Replacement means removing the old benchtop altogether and installing a new one, cut to measure. We only offer replacement.
How long does a benchtop replacement take?
Most benchtop replacements are finished within a week of us starting on site. The exact timing depends on the size of the kitchen and whether plumbing or electrical work is needed.
Do I have to replace my cabinets as well?
No. If your cabinetry is structurally sound, it stays. We check and level it once the old benchtop is off, and the new surface is built on top of what is already there.
What thickness are your benchtops?
20mm and 40mm are the popular choices, and 20mm is our minimum. The finished profile can be built to whatever depth your kitchen calls for, so the new benchtop sits at the same height as the one coming out and your splashback, kickboards and appliance openings stay where they are.
What happens to my old benchtop?
We remove it and take it away as part of the job. If your current benchtop is engineered stone, its removal is regulated work and we handle it accordingly.
Can I keep my existing splashback?
Yes. A new benchtop does not require the splashback to be removed. Many people choose to replace it at the same time with a stone splashback in the same material, but that is a decision made at the design stage rather than on installation day.
Can I change the shape of my benchtop or the edge profile?
Yes. Because the new benchtop is cut to your measurements, you can extend a breakfast bar, widen an island or square off an awkward corner while the old bench is off. Square, mitred and waterfall edges are all available.
Are your surfaces heat, stain and scratch resistant?
Yes. Both our engineered stone and porcelain ranges are resistant to heat, stains and scratches, and neither needs sealing, polishing or reconditioning. We still recommend a board for chopping and a trivet for anything straight off the cooktop.
Do you offer a warranty?
Our engineered stone and porcelain ranges carry a ten-year manufacturer's warranty. Surfaces sourced from outside our own ranges may not carry the same cover, and we will tell you before you commit.
Which areas do you service?
We work across the Sutherland Shire, St George, the Eastern Suburbs, the Inner West and the North Shore, from our showroom at 181 Taren Point Road, Caringbah.
